Eve Barlow

Biography

My name is Eve Barlow, and I am a professor of Modern Dance here at Utah State University. I started my dance career at the age of three at Creative Arts Academy in Bountiful, Utah. I was formally trained in ballet, pointè, jazz, contemporary, modern, and hip hop. I graduated from Bountiful High School and was honored to be one of the top ten finalists in the state of Utah for the Family and Consumer Sciences Sterling Scholar Scholarship. I am currently attending Utah State University majoring in Family and Consumer Science Education, and double minoring in Family Finance as well as Family and Human Development. I am a member of the Utah State Dance Company and serve as Vice President and financial officer of the program. I have had many opportunities to be trained from renowned instructors across the country. I have been teaching dance at Creative Arts Academy for 3 years. I have choreographed for high school dance companies, competition dance teams, and have taught at several dance intensives including the Cache Valley Civic Ballet Summer Intensive. I teach Beginning Modern dance as well as Intermediate Modern Dance. I have found a love for teaching dancers of all ages about finding that same love for dance that I have.
