After starting college I started a job at the University Inn on campus at the front desk, I quickly fell in love with hotels from then on. After working there for many years I moved to the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Logan. From there I have continued to move up in the company! Starting at the front desk, I moved to front desk manager, sales coordinator, and currently a sales manager, while I am being trained to the the General Manager of the TownePlace Suites that was recently built. As the front desk manager I was able to get the SpringHill Suites within the top 10 rated SpringHill Suites nationally. Also as a Sales Manager I was able to get contracts with huge companies including CBS Sports Network, ESPN, and much more. As a future General Manager I hope to continue the Marriott reputation and uphold the TownePlace Suites to Marriott’s standards.

Leisure is essential to a healthy lifestyle, and everyone practices leisure in their own way!
Advice for current students or recent graduates:
Doing what you love is most important and you will find a career that will make you love your job! It’s also ok to realize you don’t love your job and to search around a bit!
