Biography

I’m a collegiate recreation educator with over 18 years of experience in collegiate recreational sports programming, facility management, student and staff development, leadership/team-building facilitation, and academic instruction. My career path has led me to Western Kentucky University, Belmont University, the University of Northern Colorado, and currently at Utah State University as the Director of Campus Recreation and Adjunct Professor in the KHS Department.  I am an active member of the NIRSA and NASPA Associations and hold numerous certifications. I volunteer at numerous regional tournaments, conferences, and committees within NIRSA and NASPA.   I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with others in the recreation field. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, the favorite part of my job is working with students and helping develop them into future professionals. I enjoy working as a member of a team as we go through the collaborative process of providing exceptional programs and services to those we serve.

Advice for current students/recent graduates:

Soak up as much information as possible. Fill your bookshelf and always build your professional network. Remember, it's not who you know, it's who knows you.
