Biography

I graduated with my bachelors in exercise science from SUU and then moved on to graduate with my masters in strength and conditioning from SUU. I started my career by running small summer camp programs to get kids outside and being active. This is when I discovered that I wanted to work in recreation. I was then hired to work in Clearfield and have been able to use my experience of playing many sports (including D1 basketball), officiating many sports, and my love for summer camps and helping kids be active. Over the last 3 years at Clearfield, I have become a Certified Youth Sports Administration (CYSA), a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP), and continue to gain new experiences and training opportunities.

Most meaningful thing learned or experienced during my time as a student:

I did not attend USU. One of the things I learned during my schooling that has been crucial to my career is that there is something out there for everyone to enjoy. We can provide experiences in our careers that can apply to every person in the community and can be enjoyable for them.

Advice for current students/recent graduates:

Meet as many people as you can, network as much as possible, and work with others to receive different points of views/ideas.
