An Associate of Science degree in Special Education allows you to pursue entry-level positions in a wide range of education and childcare settings, including being a preschool teacher, teacher’s aide, paraeducator, substitute teacher, or working in a day care. This degree will prepare individuals to support educators in delivering specialized curriculum, behavior interventions, and a wide variety of other support activities that help students with disabilities succeed in life and school. These positions could be your final step, or a first step to gain experience in the education field while working on a bachelor’s degree in special education, elementary education, or secondary education.
Requirements
- Requires minimum 2.0 GPA
- Completion of General Education coursework and some elective coursework
- Minimum of 60 credits
- Offered both at the Logan main campus and statewide campuses
Career Opportunities/ Employment Settings
