Biography

I received my BA in psychology from Rhodes College, where I was first able to explore my research interests related to religion, sexuality, and mental health as a part of the Health Disparities and Intersecting Identities labs. After graduating from Rhodes, I gained field experience working for a community mental health center in central Indiana, and furthered my passion for research during my time as a Clinical Research Assistant for Indiana Institute of Medical Research and Indiana University School of Medicine’s Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. I am looking forward to returning to my passion for studying human sexuality as a student of USU’s Combined Clinical and Counseling Psychology PhD specialization. My current research interests include sexual satisfaction and mental health in sexual minorities from conservative religious backgrounds. Outside of my work, I enjoy painting, playing any instrument I can get my hands on, singing, cooking, and spending time outside with my dog, Sadie.
