Biography

I am a doctoral student in the PhD of Combined Clinical/Counseling Program at USU. I received my BS in psychology from Brigham Young University in 2018. My research examines in what ways religiosity affects sexual and gender minorities, as well as the health disparities for religious sexual minorities, particularly in conservative religious backgrounds. I am also fascinated with understanding the various benefits of belongingness and how such feelings affect mental health outcomes for vulnerable populations. I integrate my research with clinical work. I believe that we are all made up of various identities that intersect in many ways to shape our worldview.

Apart from work, I love hiking, running, reading, tennis, and music.
