Biography

I am an Afro-Brazilian student in the Experimental Behavior Analysis (EAB) specialization working with Dr. Amy Odum. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology at Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) in Brazil. During my undergraduate studies, I developed research and projects related to racism (i.e., implicit and explicit racial prejudice) as well projects related to medicalization (phenomenon in which non-medical problems are defined and treated as medical problems, for example, behavioral problems) and Behavior Analysis. My current research interests include, but are not limited to delay discounting, addiction, drug abuse and social justice. Outside of the academic world, I enjoy hiking, soccer, ping pong, volleyball, and radical sports.
