Biography
I am a PhD student working with Tyler Renshaw and interested in the mental health of youth, families, and young adults in schools and healthcare. I have particular inclinations toward acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and other mindfulness-based therapies, and I research the effectiveness of these interventions on facilitating behavior change in community-based settings. I also have passion for the intersections of wellbeing, religion, and philosophy, and I speak about these topics in a variety of academic and religious contexts. I am loving my work as an undergraduate instructor of Introduction to Psychology and Psychological Statistics. I received a bachelor's in psychology from Brigham Young University and a Master’s in psychology from Utah State. I love being involved with humanitarian work across the world, and I also enjoy long-distance running, music, cooking, and hanging out in the mountains.
