Sarah Daehler
Graduate Student - Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology

Biography
I am a graduate student working with Dr. Maria Kleinstäuber in the Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology PhD specialization at Utah State University. I completed my undergraduate degree at Bates College in Maine where I studied psychology and pottery. After graduating from Bates, I moved back to my hometown of Pittsburgh where I worked for two years as a research assistant at the University of Pittsburgh and the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine. During this time, I worked on studies spanning several of my research interests including mindfulness, acute and chronic pain management, and integrative medicine. My current research continues to focus on chronic pain, particularly aiming to explore what constitutes compassionate medical care for these individuals. I derive a lot of meaning from my clinical work, where I most enjoy offering evidence-based therapies in medical settings and conducting neuropsychological assessments.
