Biography

I am an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Utah State University. I am a doctoral-level Behavior Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D), as well as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of Utah. I completed my BA at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, MA at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and received my PhD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. My research broadly aims to advance the assessment and intervention of severe problem behavior. Currents areas of interest include: (1) examining variables that impact treatment adherence and integrity of implementation, (2), examining the generality of treatment effects to clinically relevant settings, and (3) assessing the longevity and maintenance of treatment across time and settings. I am currently accepting applications from prospective doctoral students for the fall 2022 semester. Prospective students can find more information about the current research project on our lab page. and about the Behavior Support Services clinic on the clinic page. Prospective students are encouraged to reach out to me directly at katherine.brown@usu.edu.
