I have been teaching in the Psychology Department since 2015 but began my current position in August 2020. The combination of engaging in direct service provision in the community and supervision of doctoral student therapists is a very meaningful professional role for me and one that I am very excited about. I have spent my career doing therapy at different levels of care and with a variety of client populations and enjoy passing on this knowledge and experience to new therapists. I have particular clinical interests in multicultural psychology, the treatment of eating disorders and anxiety, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have had the privilege of being influenced throughout my training and career by amazing mentors and colleagues and enjoy being a part of inter-disciplinary teams as often as possible. I am a licensed psychologist in the State of Utah and received my doctoral degree from Utah State University in 2011. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. On a personal level, I live in Logan, UT with my husband, three dogs, and a cat. The cat was left behind by my adult son, who is off adventuring and making the world a better place. I enjoy watching soccer (aka football to the rest of the world), hiking, cross-fit, and reading. I try to get home to California to see my large, amazing family as often as possible and to eat all the foods that one cannot find in Logan, UT. I love to travel locally, nationally, and internationally as often as funds and time will allow. A significant portion of my free time is spent in the advocacy of civil rights and anti-racism work. I am very proud of my Armenian heritage and hope to honor my ancestors with my service and accomplishments as they survived genocide and fought to pass down a legacy of strength and safety for my generation.
