Biography

Yongseop Kim, Ph.D., an assistant professor at the University of Utah, is studying whether an immersive virtual reality cognitive training program is feasible for older adults with mild cognitive impairment. The purpose of the research is to explore enjoyable, non-drug ways to improve thinking skills—especially spatial awareness—and help older adults at risk for Alzheimer’s maintain independence. The study also aims to improve quality of life for both individuals and their families.
