Siyu Wu

Biography

Siyu is an Educational Researcher and Instructional Designer who wants to bring competing world technology to a practical classroom realm. Her overall ambition is to assist the inclusion of technological resources for all. She is a graduate research assistant on the theory-building research team. She loves to investigate how educational technology can be used to support students’ thinking and learning about science.

She is also a teaching assistant in the Native American STEM mentorship program where her duties include developing curricula, building relationships with students, and interfacing between students and mentors, especially in remote program platforms. She is dedicated to encouraging more students to pursue graduate degrees in STEM fields and to build a more inclusive campus environment at Utah State University.

She discovered her passion for instructional design while volunteering at Hillcrest Elementary school, Logan, Utah. She has always had a detail-oriented personality and enjoyed the content development process. She is passionate about designing instructional content that is objective-centered, user-friendly, and purposeful.
