Deborah Silvis

Biography

Deborah Silvis is a Postdoctoral Researcher working with Jody Clarke-Midura (ITLS), Jessica Shumway (TEAL), and Victor Lee (Stanford University) on an NSF-funded project Coding in Kindergarten, that examines young children's computational thinking. Deborah uses methods of interaction analysis and video-based methods to study human-technology interactions. Her research primarily focuses on families and young children and is concerned with the ways in which technology is involved in transforming learning, society, and ecologies.
