Biography

Arla Westenskow taught grades first through sixth for 30 years in Davis School District. While teaching, she earned a Master’s in Special Education from the University of Utah. After retirement from public education, she studied at Utah State University and earned a PhD in Mathematics Education. She then opened the TIME Clinic at Utah State University which provides mathematical tutoring and enrichment for K-6th grade students. For the past 12 years, besides tutoring children, she has conducted research, developed mathematical games and assessments and has been involved in consulting and professional development with local schools.
