Biography
Born and raised in the Miami, Florida area, Jennifer Hunsaker first stepped foot on the Utah State University campus as an 18-year-old undergraduate. After earning a BS in Communicative Disorders and an MSS in Human Resource Management, she began a career in small-business consulting that spanned most of 20 years. With her husband's retirement from active-duty military service looming in 2020, Jennifer returned to Utah State to earn an MRC in Rehabilitation Counseling and become a clinical mental health counselor. In 2022, she and her husband purchased a private mental health practice. They quickly grew it to three offices in Utah and Idaho, specializing in bringing exceptional care to chronically underserved communities. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Jennifer sees clients in the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling Clinic at the Sorenson Center.
