We are excited to announce our new department name - Speech and Hearing Sciences!
The Speech and Hearing Sciences Department at Utah State recognizes that people with communication differences face challenges accessing high-quality, culturally response services to improve their health and wellbeing. Therefore, our mission is to advance knowledge, teach clinical and educational practices to meet diverse needs of individuals, and provide access to educational opportunities that prepare learners for varied careers in health and education.
Audiologists, Deaf Educators, and Speech-Language Pathologists are in high demand nationwide, and they impact quality of life and wellbeing of individuals of all ages and their families.

Services for the Community
Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinics
The Speech-Language and Hearing clinics offer a full range of services for people of all ages in the community. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive services to meet the needs of individuals and their families. The clinics are part of the Sorenson Center for Clinical Excellence, located on the USU campus.
Sound Beginnings
Sound Beginnings offers early intervention and education program for children birth to six years of age. Deaf and hard of hearing children wear hearing devices and learn to listen and talk.
