Biography
Katie Alexander is a fifth-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Utah State University. Katie’s research interests focus on trauma and mental health, including athlete abuse. Before pursuing her doctoral studies, she graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has served as an instructor of record for HDFS 2400 (Couple and Family Relationships) and in several teaching assistant roles for various undergraduate courses in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. Outside of her studies, Katie enjoys managing an educational Instagram, @thedarksideofsport. She also enjoys lifting weights and going on walks.
