Biography
Katie Alexander is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Utah State University. Katie’s research interests focus on maltreatment and mental health, including athlete abuse. Before pursuing her doctoral studies, Katie graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She currently serves as an instructor of record for HDFS 2400 (Couple and Family Relationships) and was a teaching assistant for various undergraduate courses in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. Outside of her studies, Katie enjoys serving as an academic mentor to student-athletes at Utah State. She also enjoys lifting weights and playing soccer.
