Biography

Marshall Grimm is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Utah State University. Marshall has broad research interests that include communication, education, psychosocial impacts on decision making, and leadership development. Marshall is a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, designated as a Surface Warfare Officer. He has served as a Main Propulsion Officer on USS Sampson (DDG 102) and an Assistant Chief Engineer on USS Pioneer (MCM 9). He is currently attending the Naval Postgraduate School, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Defense Program Management. Prior to pursuing his doctoral studies, he graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. He has previously instructed HDFS 2400 and completed several teaching assistantships for the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, lifting weights, reading, and rowing.
