CEHS Commencement Information
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Utah State University has postponed all commencement-related ceremonies that had been rescheduled for this August and September. As the public health situation has continued to unfold, USU has determined it would be difficult to host the number of people who traditionally attend a commencement ceremony and maintain safety protocols for social distancing and avoiding mass gatherings. Such a gathering could have many impacts on our local community.
Though specific details remain unclear given the many questions surrounding the pandemic, the university will revisit plans for an in-person event as the risk of COVID-19 decreases more significantly. At that time, more information will be provided to the class of 2020. Please email email@example.com with any questions regarding commencement.
Please be aware of the following:
Summer and fall 2019 graduates who previously received their diplomas in the mail will be sent a diploma cover. Diplomas and diploma covers will be mailed to spring 2020 graduates mid-July. If you need your diploma sent to a different address than the one you listed on your graduation packet, you can update your address in Banner and then inform the Registrar’s Office via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Campus Store is no longer accepting orders for caps and gowns as a result of the cancellation of Commencement ceremonies. Accessories such as tassels, sashes, and diploma frames are still available for purchase in store and online. If you previously ordered your regalia from the Campus Store, click here for details about cancellations/alterations.
USU Counselling and Psychological Services (CAPS) has virtual support groups available for graduating seniors who are experiencing feelings of loss, anxiety, and/or confusion as a result of COVID-19. More information can be found on USU’s commencement page.
