Dr. Wagner grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock University and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Temple University before moving west and earning a Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of New Mexico in 1997. He taught for 5 and a half years in Southern California (Vanguard University) before coming to USU in 2004.
Dr. Wagner has taught a variety of courses for the HPER Dept., but he frequently teaches Anatomical Kinesiology (PEP 3250), Fitness Assessment & Exercise Program Design (PEP 5100), and the master’s level exercise physiology course (PEP 6400). His research interests include body composition assessment and exercise physiology at high altitude.
Dale enjoys cycling (both road and mountain), hiking, mountaineering, international travel, and watching television/movies in his spare time.
